The Rogun Dam project on the Vakhsh River in Tajikistan involves the construction of a massive rockfill structure with an impermeable clay core, with a total height of 335 metres making this the tallest dam in the world. The project – for which we provide instrumentation for monitoring dams and hydroelectric plants – will exploit the considerable difference in altitude of the basin to generate electricity, contributing enormously to the national energy supply.
