The high-speed Milan-Genoa “Terzo Valico dei Giovi” line, for which we carry out tunnel monitoring, starts in Genoa and continues on the Genoa-Milan line as far as Tortona, and on the Alessandria-Turin line as far as Novi Ligure. It then connects with the existing lines to and from Milan and Turin.

The line will connect Fortezza and Innsbruck by tunnelling under the Brenner Pass, becoming the world’s longest tunnel when complete. In terms of transport, it will bring significant improvements in freight and passenger links between northern and southern Europe.

Thanks to this new infrastructure project, for which we provide tunnel monitoring instrumentation, trains will be able to travel at 250 kilometres per hour, drastically reducing travel times. The line is a fundamental step in modernising the Italian rail network, and is also an important point of connection with other European rail lines.
